Welcome to Track & Field 2022 Season

Track & Field is an open sport meaning no tryouts are required. Anyone can participate.  However, please be prepared to work hard and give 100% effort every day.  

Physicals and consents must be completed and turned into Mrs Paice by March 11th to be registered.  If you think you already have a physical on file,  call and talk with Mrs Moad or Mrs Paice.   

Friday, March 11th there will be a meeting after school for all athletes signed up to participate from 4-5pm.  There will be no practice this day.   At 5pm, we invite parents to a brief parent meeting.  

Monday, March 14th, first day of Track practice.  Please bring clothes to work out in.  Practice will be Mondays 1-2:30 pm Tuesday – Fridays 4-5:30pm daily.  

There is a participation fee that must be paid by March 14th to the bookkeeper or online through powerschool.   Fee is $30.00.  A spirit pack is available, it is not mandatory in any way nor do you need to purchase all of the items.  You may purchase the spirit pack item(s) with the bookkeeper or online through powerschool.

Practice will begin March 14, 2022

The track program is made available to all seventh and eighth-grade boys and girls who wish to participate.

The field events are the long jump, high jump, discus, and shot. The running events include the hurdles, 100-meter dash, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, and 1600 meters. Relay events include the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x400, and the medley. The girls' medley is (in order) 100-100-200-400. The boys' medley is 200-200-400-800.


Academic eligibility for meets this year include having no failing grades in any classes with a cumulative GPA of 2.0.  These standards will be checked weekly.  If you don't meet these requirements you will be ineligible for the meet that week.  Eligibility can be restored for the following week if academic standards are met again.
